First pick from the garden....

I'm so excited!!! I have squash blossoms everywhere, so there will be a lot of these little buggers in my near future! Still waiting on the bell peppers and cucumbers. I think I'm outta luck when it comes to my roma tomatoes. They were planted in such a position that the HUGE elephant ear leaves of the squash plants are blocking the sun from my tomatoes. Boo Hoo. Oh well, it was a learning experience, and I'll do something different next year!!

Thanks! I'm soooooo excited! I can hardly wait for the bell peppers! I can see the very bottom of about 3 peppers now, so it won't be long!
Marisa, all I used was Miracle Grow soil, and use plant food, about 1 time a week. I water the garden about 2-3 tmes a day now, b/c it's been 90 degrees here lately. Got home the other day and it looked like a small elephant had laid down in the middle of my garden. It was sad, lol.

So exciting! I was able to pick a few strawberries, and I can see my brocolli forming. I also have a good amount of snap peas to be picked. Yum.

I don't know how many yellow squash you have, but we had an KICK ASS squash pie the other night at a cooking show. It probably isn't to diet friendly but it didn't even taste like squash, it was served as a desert that is how sweet it is :)

I don't know how many yellow squash you have, but we had a kick ass squash pie the other night at a cooking show we went too. It was crazy good, didn't even taste like sqaush, it was served as a desert. I don't have the actual recipe but could give you the jest of it, it was pretty simple. I will definately be buying some squash next time I am shopping.
